Simpsons fans rejoice! Voice actor Harry Shearer (the voice behind characters like Mr. Burns, Kent Brockman, and Ned Flanders) is coming back for the 27th and 28th season of The Simpsons. Shearer left the show early this year following a contract dispute. The show’s producers and his management seem to have ironed it out though. Now, he gets the same deal as his co-stars (a two-year deal with a two-year option to follow).

Previously, showrunner Al Jean said they planned on recasting the parts Shearer voiced but if you’ve voiced the character(s) for so long, finding an appropriate replacement poses a challenge. It’s a good thing that problem was resolved. The show will be coming back in the U.S. in the fall.
