Happy Socks brings color and cheer to the Philippines

A pair of socks can be the most undervalued piece of apparel that a person can have, even more so than underwear. Prior to today’s sock trends, no one ever really thought of sock fashion in everyday life. If they weren’t black or white, they were of a solid color with at most, subtle accents. In 2008, Swedish veterans of the design industry Viktor Tell and Mikael Söderlindh founded Happy Socks, the global brand looking to put the fun and fashion on the socks we wear.

Their first store opened in Stockholm, Sweden in 2010. Now, Happy Socks is available in 70 different countries all around the globe. The Philippines is the latest addition to the Happy Socks family. Holding a colorful launch at the Staple and Perk Bakery in Makati, Happy Socks showed exactly why its core values are being happy, colorful, stylish, surprising, creative, personal, and free. Different designs too numerous to count were displayed and given away for the Happy Socks supporters.

At first glance, you’d think that the Happy Socks concept is focused on a very specific market: the hipster youth. But Happy Socks’ lineup goes beyond fashionable socks. Also available are styles for the business-minded and small children. Besides casual socks, athletic socks, underwear, and tights will be made available here in the second half of the year. There have also been collaborations with other fashion brands and artists such as Rolex, Keds, Adidas, and Snoop Dogg.
