‘Cards Against Humanity’ goes online (for free!)

If you’re a fan of the game Cards Against Humanity, you might want to check out what Canada-based designer Dawson Whitfield did with the game. He has brought it into the digital age and the best part is it’s free.

Whitfield built an app based on the game called Cards Against Originality. This “shameless copy” of the game is allowed because the card game is licensed under Creative Commons that allows individuals to “use, remix, and share the game for free.”

The app version works on smartphones, tablets, and PCs. And it has the original deck plus five expansion sets. You and your friends just have to be in the same room to play. The app will generate a link to the game that you can share once you started one. And let the filthy, somewhat offensive fun begin.

NOTE: The game is such a hit its site is down at the moment. Here’s what Whitfield told Engadget: “Hey Engadget! Sorry the app is so slow right now, wasn’t expecting this. Servers are being upgraded right now. Will be in tip top shape for the weekend :)”
