If you’ve been keeping an eye out for an all-electric SUV, there aren’t that many options at the moment, even with the Tesla Model X on the horizon. Audi recently announced plans of its own that’ll be coming out in 2018.

Speaking at the company’s annual press conference, Audi’s engineering chief Ulrich Hackenberg said they plan to release a battery-powered “sports activity vehicle” early 2018. It will range upwards of 500 kilometers and it’s going to have a “very attractive” design built especially for the e-tron range and for battery-powered vehicles.

According to Auto Express, it could carry the name Q6 e-tron, and will slot right between the Q5 and Q7 in the lineup. The teaser image you see above is of the concept car, which was flashed at the press conference. Of course, at the moment there is no word on where they will sell it or for how much.
