Your dream trip to London might just be a few clicks away. In celebration of the Great British Festival from February 24 to 26, the British Council Philippines joins hands with the British Embassy to open the Create Great Cities Photo Essay Competition to all amateur and professional Filipino photographers.

Photo essays are series of pictures that tell a story. In this case, entries must contain three to five 300dpi photos with a minimum width of 1600 pixels and file size not more than 2MB each. A 150-word English description or answer to the competition questions must also be provided. The questions are: “What is a livable city for you? What creative efforts can we  do to make our cities more livable?”

This year’s theme and questions echo the British Council’s effort to contribute to more livable and more inclusive cities with inspired and engaged urban dwellers.

Full mechanics of the competition can be found in the official British Council Philippines website.

The deadline for submission is on February 16. Shortlisted candidates will be notified the next day, and their photo essays will be exhibited at the Bonifacio Global City during the Great British Festival. Winners of the Create Great Cities Photo Essay Competition will be announced on February 25 and will get Manila-London roundtrip tickets for two, courtesy of Etihad Airways.
