Despite the switch to a leaf spring rear suspension, the Musso Grand still boasts of one of the plushest rides in the business. This is due largely to its being based on the Rexton 7-seat SUV. Unlike other pickups-turned-SUVs, this one was designed to be a people mover with off-road capabilities from the get-go. This makes it a comfy ride even while puttering around town with an empty bed.

The Musso Grand also comes with a host of upscale features. The 4×4 variant is the only one in the class to get a sunroof, premium brown leather upholstery with ventilation, a deck pillar, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 3.5-inch Super Vision instrument cluster, and front and rear A/C vents.  In terms of safety, 4×4 models get Active Rollover Protection, along with Hill Descent Control, and Electronic Stabilization Program.

The diesel motor under the hood, together with the rest of the vehicle, will be taken care of by a 5-year or 100,000km warranty, along with a free 3-year Periodic Maintenance Service schedule. Service intervals will be 6 months or 10,000kms, as with other SsangYong vehicles. And with the Mobile Service Van, customers can have maintenance services done in the convenience of their home or office—provided these are within 100kms of the dealership.
