New Asus Republic of Gamers gear unveiled at Pinoy Gaming Festival

Asus has got some new gear for Republic of Gamers’ fans and they showed it off at the recently concluded Pinoy Gaming Festival held last April. The new ROG lineup includes the G551 and G20.

The G551 laptop runs on a 4th-generation Intel Core i7-4710HQ processor, Windows 8.1, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M graphics with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM. It features a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display with wide 178-degree viewing angles and Trinity Display support so you can hook it up to three other external displays via HDMI or Mini DisplayPort.

It sports the classic ROG design with matte black brushed aluminum finish, red bezel accents, and red backlit keyboard. Aside from being a visual marvel, audio is courtesy of Asus’ SonicMaster technology with ROG AudioWizard for the best kind of audio regardless of game genre. It has 16GB DDR3L memory, 1TB SATA HDD, and built-in HD camera and array mic. The G551 retails for P69,995.

Now, if you need a gaming desktop, the G20 is a compact machine that is powered by a 4th-generation Intel Core i7-4790HQ processor, Windows 8.1, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745. You can’t mistake is anything other than an ROG device with its matte-black finish, Mayan-inspired markings, customizable lighting effects, and aggressive lines.

This 12.5-liter case is also energy efficient. It comes with an Eco Energy Mode that can draw as little as 10W. Audio is again courtesy of SonicMaster with ROG AudioWizard sound processing. You can monitor the G20’s performance, temperature, and the like through the Asus-exclusive Aegis application.

The G20 comes with 16GB DDR3L memory, 1TB SATA HDD, and two USB 3.0 ports, one mic port, and one earphone port. It has a suggested retail price of P63,995.
