Huawei Y5p: Price and Full Specs

The entry-level Huawei Y5p packs a lot of features into an affordable phone with a price point of PHP 4,990. It comes in various colors that have a “sun-burst shifting-color coat effect”: Phantom Blue, Midnight Green, and Midnight Black. It has a 5.45” FullView Display with 80% screen to body ratio for app usage, video playback, and gaming.

As mentioned, the amount of screen space available allows for extended functionality and navigation. With the EMUI 10.1, the phone also contains smart features in its user interface such as Smart Collage and Gesture Navigation. The Smart Collage feature allows you to combine two to nine pictures into one while the Gesture Navigation controls allow you to manage settings and phone tasks with the swipe of a finger. 

The Y5p’s is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 with an octa-core processor. It has eight Cortex-A53 cores, with four cores operating at 2.0 GHz and four cores operating at 1.5 GHz. It is supplemented with the phone’s 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. 

The Y5p’s 3,020mAh battery allows for a full day of usage with up to 17 hours of video playback. Its AI Power Saving Technology improves battery consumption and intelligentially monitors the phone so it optimally saves energy while in use or inactive. 

The Y5p’s offers a 5MP front camera for taking selfies and an 8MP rear camera for regular shooting. The main rear camera has a depth sensor of 2MP resolution, with an aperture of f/2.0 for wide angle capability. It also allows for 1080p video recording.
