YouTube for Android gets offline playback feature

With our connection speeds, it is usually a pain to watch videos on YouTube. Good thing Google has decided to bring offline playback to our shores. Not only does the YouTube for Android app get Material Design makeover, now Filipino Android users can save videos for up to 48 hours, which you can find in the Offline section of the app.

It isn’t available for all content but there are already a few things like music videos, trailers, and the like available for temporary download. You will get to choose what quality of video you want to download, too, to accommodate your available bandwidth and device storage space.

The update is rolling out now. You should check Gooogle Play Store or YouTube app itself to see if it prompts you to update. It should be coming your way now. Our devices already got the update.
