Xiaomi products now available at retail stores

The latest announcement from Chinese tech giant Xiaomi seems rather telling about the buying habits of the Filipinos. Mi products are now available for sale at over 200 locations around the country, including tech stores like MemoXpress, PC Express, and Silicon Valley (with more stores expected to be added).

Filipinos still want to inspect products (especially gadgets) before they make their purchase. But Xiaomi isn’t letting go of its main business model just yet. Mi products would still be available through Lazada. And prices for these devices would be the same as the online prices.

The initial list of products available offline and their corresponding suggested retail prices are:

  • Redmi 2 – PHP 5,999
  • Mi Pad – PHP 10,999
  • 16,000mAh Mi Power Bank – PHP 1,299
  • Mi In-Ear Headphones – PHP 849

Xiaomi guarantees the same after-sales support for online and offline buyers. Aside from having access to eight of their service centers, you can also send your product for inspection through the offline dealers.
