Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 will go on sale starting March 27

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is here! Or at least it’s coming in a week. Xiaomi Philippines just announced that this new phone is coming starting on March 27th—and it’s something budget-conscious buyers should be paying attention to.

The Redmi Note 7 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB storage options, and MIUI 10 running on Android 9 Pie. It comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ with 2,380 x 1,080 resolution display, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a Dot Drop notch. Xiaomi boasts of the durability of this device with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protecting both sides of the phone. It even has reinforced corners to protect the edges of the device when these get accidentally dropped.

But what Xiaomi is particularly proud of is its 48-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 backside illuminated CMOS sensor, which uses Samsung’s Tetracell technology that merges four pixels to work as one large 1.6um pixel. This is designed to boost light sensitivity and makes the resulting 12-megapixel image much brighter and clearer, even in low light conditions. Xiaomi pairs this with a 5MP f/2.4 secondary rear camera and brings AI technology to assist you in getting the best shots out of any situation. In front, you get a 13-megapixel camera.

Making sure the phone gets you through a full workday, the Redmi Note 7 comes with a large 4,000mAh battery. You can quickly top up this phone thanks to its USB Type-C port and Qualcomm Quick Charge 4 support.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is available in Space Black, Neptune Black, and Nebula Red. It’s priced at P7,990 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant, P9,990 for the 4GB/64GB variant, and 11,990 for 4GB/128GB variant. The first 100 customers who buy online will get the Mi in-ear basic earphones and t-shirts. It’s going to be exclusively available online through Lazada or offline through Mi Authorized Stores. Xiaomi is throwing in an 18-month warranty for this phone with confidence that the device can last that long—or longer. If you’re waiting for the Redmi Note 7 Pro though, unfortunately, that isn’t coming here.
