Voyager Innovations, the digital innovations arm of PLDT and Smart, officially inaugurated its new headquarters at the Launchpad Building in Mandaluyong City, signaling a new stage of growth as it works to accelerate the digital transformation of consumers, enterprises, and the entire country.

During the launch attended by ranking executives from the private and public sectors who serve as Voyager’s partners in its mission of digital and financial inclusion, the company likewise gave a sneak preview of its Voyager DX (Digital Transformation) program, which will enable businesses, individuals, government agencies, and organizations to fully adapt to the growing wave of digital.

“Digital transformation has helped equalize opportunities for the common folk, in a very profound way, and we are proud that Voyager is behind innovations that push boundaries and tear down walls for the benefit of all,” said Manuel V. Pangilinan, Chairman at PLDT, Smart, and Voyager.

“As we have now come to say: here at Launchpad, every day is launch day. We do not stop innovating once we launch, and we do not cease creating once we’ve shipping to market. Our move is symbolic of Voyager, PLDT, Smart, and First Pacific moving into a new strategic space where it can accelerate the digital transformation of enterprises and consumers, economy, and society,” said Orlando B. Vea, President and CEO at Voyager.

Innovations for everyone

Since its inception four-and-a-half years ago, Voyager has been coming out with breakthrough digital products and platforms that have touched the lives of many Filipinos nationwide.

PayMaya, for example, now has the largest prepaid wallet base in the country today, enabling millennials, freelancers, entrepreneurs, communities, and organizations to experience the next level of digital life with the help of their phones.

FINTQ, through its digital lending platform Lendr, now has the most extensive digital lending footprint in the country, covering all of the country’s provinces, 90% of cities and 8% of municipalities and the most expansive digital partnerships with over 40 banks and non-bank partners.

Voyager’s digital customer engagement platforms such as freenet and hatch allow businesses to reach their audiences like never before, through free data access to various apps and sites, as well as robust SMS marketing campaigns that reach even feature phone owners in the farthest reaches of the country.

A workplace for millennials

Designed with open-plan workspaces and ample areas for collaboration, the new Voyager HQ at Launchpad serves as an innovation playground for its mostly millennial workforce.

“This is like a Silicon Valley campus for emerging markets. We have designed our HQ to be an attractive and agile space for creative innovation to thrive, as we all work together towards our common goal of achieving ‘No More Digital Divide, One Happy Planet,’” Vea added.
