Unboxing of OnePlus' latest 10T

Coming in an enormous, shoebox-like packaging, OnePlus’ new 10T already gives the impression that it is one to be reckoned with. Sporting the motto “Evolve Beyond Speed” which is also visible in the box’s design, OnePlus aims to provide its users with ultimate performance, as its 10T is a speed-leading flagship device powered by the most powerful Qualcomm mobile platform developed.

Design:

The device comes in 2 colors; Moonstone Black for a more subtle, sleek design, and Jade Green for a more lively, dynamic one.

OnePlus has put a lot into the design of their 10T, as 130 meticulous manufacturing processes and luxurious craftsmanship has led to innovative glass manufacturing and pioneering technology that puts even more emphasis on its design.

Given the 10T’s build, it can be slightly heavier than other smartphones. However, the materials used give the device a very sleek, modern and premium feel, nonetheless.

Its front houses both the selfie camera and the built-in fingerprint sensor centered at the bottom of the screen, while at its right side is the power button and the opposite side the volume control. At the rear, on the other hand, is a triple camera setup at the top left corner, while OnePlus’ logo is stamped at the very middle.

Display:

With a 6.7” 120Hz FHD+ Fluid Display, not only will you have a relatively large screen, but an immersive one at that, as its always-on HDR10+ and 10-bit color facilitate improved visuals.

One aspect, I believe, many will appreciate is its Adaptive Frame Rate, which gives you the luxury to switch between 60, 90 and 120Hz whenever necessary.

One thing I noticed is that, despite its large display, the 10T actually has minimal bezels, giving you even more room to enjoy and play.

Camera:

Sporting a triple camera setup at the back, the 10T has a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide camera, as well as a 2MP macro camera. OnePlus has also equipped the device with flagship-level IMX766 sensor with OIS for better clarity and stability.

There are also numerous different features to play around with for whatever situation you may find yourself in; portrait mode, panoramic, slow-mo, dual-view video, Nightscape 2.0 for low-lit environments, ICE 2.0 for ultra-fast shutter start up and capture speeds, and Super HDR for improved image highlights and more vivid shadows, just to name a few.

Processor:

One of OnePlus’ main points of emphasis for its 10T is its next-gen Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which happens to be the fastest Snapdragon mobile platform in history, in order to deliver both blazing speeds and smooth performance.

To help in making sure its processor runs smoothly, a Cryo-velocity Vapor Cooling System combines a larger cooling area, advanced materials and a redesigned heat dissipation channel for even better thermal performance.

Paired with 16GB of RAM and its Always Alive feature, multitasking has been made more of a breeze, as its server-level RAM management allows simultaneously running 35 apps smoothly.

Moreover, as a treat especially to those heavy gamers, HyperBoost Gaming Engine facilitates a greater gaming experience with the GPA Frame Stabilizer, GLC (GPU Load Control) and Customized AI System Booster 2.1. These all ultimately allow you to not only play with faster and smoother optimization, but to do it even after extended gaming sessions.

Charge:

The 10T’s 150W SUPERVOOC Endurance Endition charging is another one of OnePlus’ main facets when it comes to their new device, which also happens to be the fastest in their history.

Taking it a step further, OnePlus has also allowed safe and smart charging. There are 13 temperature sensors, a smart charging chip, 128-bit encryption, as well as an AI algorithm that learns your charging behavior for charging optimization.

All in all, the 10T’s specs make it an enticing gaming phone, especially with its processor, display and charging capabilities.

Stay tuned for my full review in the coming days.
