Thule introduces new versatile, sturdy luggage

There are a few constant posts you’ll see on your social media feed: food, family/friend photos, political posts, memes, and travel photos. With lower costs of travel, it seems everyone is traveling these days—we wouldn’t be surprised if you’re planning for a trip right now, too. And with all the traveling you’re doing (or planning to do), it’s necessary of course to have sturdy luggage to take with you.

Thule has taken its time (eight years, to be exact) to make sure the Swedish brand can offer you the best it can make with its new Subterra line. The new collection offers a lot more than what you see up front. With subdued color options available, you wouldn’t think much of it at first but a demo of the bags’ features show us how considered the design of the Subterra line is. You get pockets and compartments for everything, even a cord organizer of sorts for your power bank’s cable. It seems Thule thought of everything you’ll need when you travel.

There are four new types of bags for the Subterra line: a carry-on, backpack, and two types of luggage. Let’s take a quick look at the new collection:

Thule Subterra Travel Backpack

This travel backpack hopes to ease the burden for traveling professionals and techies alike. You can take it on your business trips or even on your daily commutes. It can store your laptop (up to 15-inch MacBook Pro or 15.6-inch laptop) in its own padded laptop sleeve with SafeEdge construction and secure flap closure. The bag can store your cables and chargers neatly away in the internal PowerPocket and packing cube (which can also be used to pack clothes in). There’s an additional sleeve for your tablet with its own soft interior lining. Everything is easily accessible through the wide roll top opening with magnetic closure, side zippers, and access panels.

Thule Subterra Carry-On

The Subterra Carry-On is an ideal choice for light packers. This soft-sided bag can be carried as either a backpack or shoulder bag. The straps can also be put away when you don’t need them. Aside from being able to put away your clothes and other valuables, it has a separate compartment for your shoes and dirty laundry, too. It even comes with a laptop sleeve, tablet storage, PowerPocket, and accessory organization.

Thule Subterra Luggage 70cm/28″

This rolling duffel bag comes with a wide-mouth access and divided main compartments to make it easier to pack and organize your travel essentials. Built with durable, water-resistant materials, it can protect your valuables against the elements. To make sure your belongings don’t get jostled inside the bag, it comes with external compression straps. For smaller items, there’s a zippered pocket on the bag, too.

Thule Subterra Luggage 55cm/22″

A personal favorite from the collection, this 2-in-1 piece can easily turn into two separate carry-on compliant pieces of luggage. So you can opt to check one in and carry the other with you or have them both with you. This bag can fit neatly into a plane’s overhead bin. A piggyback strap attachment loop lets you attach an additional bag to it. This duffle is reinforced with tough, oversized wheels and V-tubing telescoping to make it easy to weave through airport lines.
