The iPhone 14 was leaked and it might be worth the wait

A few days before the iPhone 13 is set to be revealed, someone dropped the bomb on what’s supposed to be the iPhone 14. There’s no specifications included in the leak but the design was something that fans have been clamoring for years already and so, it might be worth passing up this year’s iPhone for.

The leak came from Jon Prosser from Front Page Tech. He has a pretty solid track record with his leaks that include the Air Tags, AirPods Max, Apple Watch, and the iPad Mini – all before their official announcements. According to him, the new iPhone 14 will finally part ways with the infamous notch and will make do with a punch hole for the camera. I don’t know about you but personally I’m not a fan of the photos from ‘under-the-display’ cameras.

At the back is something that’s a double surprise for iPhone fans. The camera bump has been removed and the module is now flush to the body. It would be illogical for Apple to decrease the size of the module so the assumption is they increased the thickness of the phone to make it flat. As a result, that means more room for a bigger battery.

Other details said that the frame would be titanium and that in one of the samples he saw, it was in this rose gold color as seen below.

Overall, the leaked images looks like iPhone 14 is a modern version of the iPhone 4S – the last iPhone design that Steve Jobs and Jony Ive worked on. The sides have circular buttons for the volume adjustments and the back has a thick glass with the Apple logo underneath it.

Should you wait for it? Prosser said his sources are still working on the finality of the specs but for the design, it seems it will be the final version that will see the light of the day in 2022. If your contract with your postpaid plan is due for renewal on the said date or you just really care about the new aesthetics, maybe it’d be wise to pass up on next week’s iPhone 13 and wait for this one.
