The covetable home appliances of LG InnoFest

0

They say we always want what we can’t have. And LG showed us just what we’re missing in our lives with its latest lineup of home appliances. Unfortunately, while we got to see them at the second LG InnoFest held in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia last February 4, these appliances won’t be making their way here. But since we can’t help appreciate great technology when we see them, we knew we needed to write about them.

HOM-BOT Square
It’s the little square that could (clean, that is). The latest version of the HOM-BOT Square has a new Smart Inverter Motor, which helps it clean corners better and pick up dust more effectively. It has a sharper, more angular design with longer brushes, and a low 98mm height so most dust can’t escape from it.

LG updated its Dual Eye 2.0 camera sensors so it can map your floors more accurately, even in the dark. And because it’s smart little robot, it has a Learning Function that remembers if its cleaned a specific area already.

LG CordZeroCordZero
We’re loving these smarter vacuum cleaners. And how about one that follows you around like a pet? The new CordZero canister vacuum cleaner has RoboSense technology that “watches” you and follows you around as you clean with its motorized wheels. With 200 watts of suction power and a built-in lithium-ion battery PowerPack, you can clean around the house for up to 40 minutes per charge without having to worry about tripping over wires or having to drag along the vacuum. And yes, it comes with a Smart Inverter Motor, too.

CordZero Handstick
Cleaning up hair can be a bit troublesome, especially if you have a pet that sheds hair frequently or live with a woman with long hair. The CordZero Handstick can handle this with ease thanks to its Anti-Tangle Brush. It can even pick up big pieces of waste (or rocks as demonstrated in the video below). It can work as a stick-type cleaner or a hand-held unit. As a CordZero unit, it comes with a replaceable lithium-ion dual battery pack that’ll last for up to 60 minutes in Regular Mode or 40 minutes in Power Mode. It’s one very handy vacuum.

LG StylerStyler
While its official description is the nondescript “clothing management system,” this is one of the more fascinating appliances we’ve seen at InnoFest. The Styler is something like a dryer or refresher of clothes, especially the hard-to-maintain ones. It can take out unpleasant odors, sterilize and steam clothes, and shake them to get rid of the wrinkles. The unit itself maintains a low temperature to make sure your clothes don’t shrink or get damaged while you dry them. And yes, it has a Pants Press feature that takes out the crease you get at the back of the knees while maintaining the pleats up front.

LG Twin Wash SystemTwin Wash System
Its quite imposing in size and makes us think why this hasn’t been done before. The LG Twin Wash System is a washing machine capable of taking two separate wash loads at the same time with a main washer and mini washer underneath it. You can use the smaller washer to take care of delicate items like lingerie or active wear. Combining this with LG’s TurboWash technology and the speed wash option means you can cut down your washing time down by 15 minutes (or maybe even more). Of course this also works with your smartphone, too. With NFC tagging technology, you can download new washing programs for this machine, such as baby care and cold wash. Washing has never been so high-tech and convenient.
