Test: ASUS ZenPower Slim 6000

Where your smartphone goes, your power bank follows. With the amount of time we spend on our phones and the tech that’s keeping these devices powered, we burn through their batteries fairly quickly. ASUS is hoping its new ZenPower Slim 6000 will be that battery pack you reach for when you need the extra juice.
Portable and stylish. Available in two eye-catching colors—Burgundy Red and Sand Gold—the ZenPower Slim is easy to spot inside your bag and can also complement your outfit of the day, if you’re style-conscious. At 170g, this rectangular-shaped power bank is easy to carry around.
Prioritize device safety. It isn’t just about looks with this one but it wants to ensure your safety as well as that of your device’s. The ZenPower packs in a circuit design that automatically adjusts output power to match the need of your device, making sure you charge as quickly as possible without damaging your gadget. The ZenPower Slim is able to achieve this with its built-in PowerSafe technology.
That extra boost. With double the capacity of the original ZenPower Slim, it makes sure you get at least one extra charge for your device. Of course, this depends on the type of device you have. I’ve been using an Honor 10 as a daily driver and I could charge it one and a half times before I needed to charge the power bank. If I left my phone charging with the ZenPower Slim, it will do so in under two and a half hours. Not the fastest charger out there, but it gets the job done. It took me around three hours to charge the power bank back to full capacity.

VERDICT
The ASUS ZenPower Slim 6000 achieves what it sets out to do. It helps keep your devices alive and does so in a simple yet attractive way.
