For more than 150 years, TAG Heuer has been a paragon for luxury timepieces. After surviving the onslaught of digital watches, its biggest challenge now is standing its guard against the rise of smartwatches. In 2015, they launched their first smartwatch into the fray.

Two years later, the successor to TAG Heuer’s first smartwatch has been released. Named the Connected Modular 45, TAG Heuer’s second smartwatch boasts of absolute customizability and connectivity.

The TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 was engineered in partnership with technology giants Google and Intel. It brings the best of both worlds: Swiss luxury watchmaking and top-notch Silicon Valley technology.

Programmed with Android Wear 2.0, the Connected Modular 45 promises improved user interactions, gesture, and watch design. It also improves compatibility with Apple software. Android Wear will still allow users access to more than 4,000 apps.

The Connected smartwatch is built with an Intel Cloverdale Peak dual core processor. It comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It has an AMOLED display with 287ppi of resolution and an ambient light sensor. It is water-resistant for up to 50 meters.

There are 11 basic core watches available in-store and 46 watches on demand online, totaling to 57 core packages from the get-go. Furthermore, the core watches can be customized with 4 lugs, 14 straps, and 2 strap buckles. TAG Heuer boasts that there are 300 different watch combinations.

Inside the watch, users can also customize the watch face with the TAG Heuer Studio. Users can change the color of the watch face, the amount of counters to display, and what information to display. All of the custom watch faces can be compiled through the TAG Heuer Connected app.

Depending on the watch loadout, the TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 carries a price from as low as P81,999 to as high as a whopping P162,999.
