Suzuki is redefining its way forward by taking a page from its past. And it is doing so with a model name that has given the brand so much success.

It’s the Vitara and it’s back as a fully electric model which will henceforth be called the e VITARA, Suzuki’s first production global EV.

The launch was led by Suzuki Philippines’ Director and General Manager for the Automobile Division, Norihide Takei, who emphasized Suzuki’s vision for the future and the brand’s continued dedication to innovation for Filipino motorists.

“Today, we take a monumental leap forward into a bold new chapter,” said Takei during the official reveal. “The all-new e VITARA reflects Suzuki’s commitment to delivering advanced mobility solutions that inspire confidence, excitement, and practicality for today’s generation of drivers. As we move toward the future of electrification, we invite everyone to join us as this new era begins.”

State-of-the-art EV powertrain

The electric powertrain consists of a highly efficient and powerful axle that delivers 174ps and 93Nm of torque. It is powered by a 61kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery with advanced thermal management system and a variety of built-in safeguards against overheating and short circuits, such as liquid cooling and battery voltage monitoring, enabling it to operate reliably in extreme conditions.

The “Metal Beast” design language

Visually striking and powerful, the design of the all-new e VITARA revolves around the concept of the “Metal Beast,” giving it an aggressive bearing absent in previous Vitaras. The exterior features strong character lines, a unique coupe-like silhouette, and an advanced roof design optimized for aerodynamic flow. Highlighting its commanding stance are the new signature 3-point matrix LED lamps at the front, complemented by a beautifully sculpted modern aesthetic at the rear.

Premium digital cockpit experience

Inside, the e VITARA welcomes drivers into a premium, highly functional digital cockpit. The cabin is highlighted by a seamlessly integrated dual display, a twin-deck floating center console with a distinctive rotary shift knob, and a thoughtfully designed two-spoke polygonal steering wheel that maximizes forward visibility and eases driver entry and exit.

The interior indulges occupants with high-quality soft-touch materials, vibrant textures, and customizable multicolor ambient lighting. Long-distance comfort is ensured by three-tone leatherette bucket seats, featuring a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and ventilated front seating. Rear passengers enjoy maximum versatility with a 40:20:40 split-folding seat equipped with sliding and reclining functionality.

With 10.1” touchscreen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, the infotainment is powered by a specially tuned Infinity premium sound system with 6 high-performance speakers, a subwoofer, and an amplifier-integrated digital signal processor (DSP).

Engineered on a brand-new “HEARTECT-e” architecture

At the core of the e VITARA is Suzuki’s highly advanced, pure electric platform, the HEARTECT-e, which is anchored by three critical engineering pillars: exceptional structural rigidity, maximized passenger space, and advanced high-voltage battery protection.

Certified real-world range and outstanding efficiency

Official homologation data submitted to the Department of Energy (DOE) shows that the e VITARA achieves a maximum driving range of 475 kilometers on a full charge, highlighting its long-distance driving potential as well as its ability to do once-a-week charging for daily commutes.

Real-world economy trials conducted with the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) shows that the e VITARA achieved a stunning fuel-equivalent consumption rating of 87.22 km/Lge (kilometers per Liter gasoline equivalent), which translates to an ultra-efficient energy consumption rate of 9.8 km/kWh.

Suzuki Safety Support

The e VITARA comes comprehensively equipped with Suzuki Safety Support suite of advanced driver-assist systems. Active and passive safety features are standard, including seven airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) with Brake Hold function, and Dual Sensing Brake Sensor II.

The new e VITARA will soon be available nationwide with a starting price of PHP 2,020,000. The final color lineup and specifications will be announced at a later date.

Visitors at the Suzuki booth during the Philippine International Motor Show can experience Suzuki’s latest innovations and explore the brand’s growing lineup of vehicles that continue to deliver practicality, efficiency, and driving enjoyment.
