Suzuki Philippines launches KATANA

Suzuki Philippines Inc. brings fashion and style to the 13th IR Bike Fest held at World Trade Center Manila recently. The highlight of the event is their upcoming motorcycle in the Philippine market, KATANA.

The Suzuki KATANA symbolizes the company’s commitment to craftsmanship. The company aims to create distinct products that pay due respect to tradition, while working to incorporate the latest advances in styling and technology.

Its bodywork is a modern take on the late GSXS1100 with modern LED lights and a swingarm-mounted number plate hanger, leaving the tail unit to look more sporty and sexy.

This streetfighter measures 2,130 x 835 x 1,110mm with a wheelbase of 1,480mm and a seat height of 825mm. It’s built for Filipinos who are into liter bike. Its front tire size is 120/70 ZR 17, while the rear tire size is 190/50 ZR 17.  It has a fuel tank capacity of 12L.

Fired by the same spirit as the traditionally-made Japanese sword the bike is named after, Suzuki’s development team tested and tuned each component time and again until they were satisfied the KATANA would deliver the optimal balance of power, comfort, and control.
