Realme flagship 5G X50 Pro to be launched

Realme is set to globally launch another flagship 5G smartphone, the X50 Pro 5G, through a live stream from Madrid, Spain.

It will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, which has also been previously announced to power Xiaomi’s Note 10 and probably Oppo’s Reno 3 5G.

Earlier this year, realme launched the the X50 in China that featured the Snapdragon 765G. realme X50 Pro 5G will take it a notch higher with the new Snapdragon 865 chipset.

The fairly young brand has quickly grown its market share with total shipments of realme smartphones during the third quarter of 2019 exceeded 10 million, according to data from Counterpoint, ranking realme 7th around the world. Compared with the same period in 2018, realme has grown by 808%, making it the fastest-growing smartphone brand in the world. At the same time, it has also entered 25 markets worldwide, including China, India, Southeast Asia, Russia, the Middle East and Europe.

In the Philippines, realme Philippines was recently crowned as the top 4 smartphone brand in terms of sell-in shipments for the last quarter of 2019, having grown by 707 percent from the preceding year.
