Bikers from the north, rejoice! Specialized brings their concept store closer to you. The high-performance bicycle brand opens its 2nd Specialized Concept Store in Quezon City. Located along Congressional Ave. Ext., Brgy. Pasong Tamo, the store showcases a variety of the bike maker’s products—from road bikes, to mountain bikes, to balance bikes for kids. There’s even a special space for women-specific gear.
Specialized collaborated with 2Wheel Nation Cycling to give you the complete retail experience. You can find here the right bike for your body, needs, and, most especially, budget. The Specialized Concept Store even offers Body Geometry FIT (Fit Integration Technology) services to make sure you’re getting the right bike based on your body geometry, strength, and riding style.
Alongside the grand opening of the store, Benedict Chen, Southeast and South Asia’s regional marketing lead for Specialized, unveiled the company’s latest roster of bikes.
Specialized Roubaix 2017
Specialized partnered with engineers from British McLaren Applied Technologies to give rise to the new but familiar Roubaix, one of the first performance road bikes to offer riding comfort. In an effort to suspend you for a more comfortable ride, the Roubaix 2017 is fitted with a new suspension system sitting just atop the head tube and one in the seat post.
Dubbed the Future Shock system, the spring sits between the handlebars and the head tube, absorbing vibrations without compromising the weight and speed of a rigid fork system. With the 20mm travel, Future Shock isolates you from the surface and smooths out your riding experience across any terrain. Depending on your needs, the spring inside the system is available with Soft, Medium, and Hard options. Staying aligned with the Rider-First Engineered design, the seatpost sits 65mm below the top tube, which gives it room to rock in an arc, again suspending you and not the bike.
Specialized Ruby 2017
Engineered with the female anatomy in mind, the Ruby 2017 is set to deliver performance with comfort. Under the Ruby model line, Specialized took the Roubaix and spent time, research, and money to develop a design accommodating a woman’s body for maximum comfort and speed. The Ruby also features the Future Shock system and allows for 20mm travel for a smoother ride.
Specialized Epic Hardtail 2017
The Epic Hardtail is Specialized’s lightest, stiffest, best-handling frame for the mountain, cross-country category. Built with M5 alloy, the Epic Hardtail combines strength and agility with a geometry, allowing you to ride with uncompromising confidence. It’s fitted with a custom RockShox Reba RL 29 fork, which offers 80-95mm smooth travel to tackle any terrain you ride your Epic on.
