Sony unveils latest high-resolution audio products

Audiophiles want access to the best sound possible. Sony aims to meet their expectations with its new lineup of high-resolution personal audio products. The line includes everything from headphones, speakers, and Walkman players (yes, those are still around). The newest products added to that line are the SRX-X9 wireless speakers and the MDR-ZX750BN Bluetooth headphones.

Sony SRS-X9 (2)

The SRX-X9 is considered Sony’s top-of-the-line wireless speaker. It showcases your high-resolution tunes and upscales your compressed audio files to as close to high-res as possible. It features an eight-channel S-Master HX Audio Amplifier, premium 2.1 channel system, and ClearAudio+, which means you can expect bass-thumping goodness with balanced tone.

Since it’s a wireless speaker, you can connect to it through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and even NFC. You can play music from your favorite music streaming sites or use AirPlay to stream what’s on your iPhone or iPad.

Now, if you need high-quality music while you’re on the go or at the office, Sony has the wireless, noise-cancelling MDR-ZX750BN. With its 40mm dynamic drivers, it promises high-quality sound, especially since it is combined with digital equalizer and beat response control. These features are meant to improve bass quality and mid-range vocals.

Sony MDR-ZX750BN

The Japanese brand claims its Digital Noise Cancelling technology provides better signal processing than Analog. But we’d need to spend some time with these cans to confirm this. It supports both Bluetooth and NFC and you can stow it away easily with its slim, swivel folding style.

The SRS-X9 retails for P39,999, while the MDR-ZX750BN goes for P8,999. Both come in black and are available at Sony Centres around the country.
