Smart revitalizes postpaid for increasing mobile data demand

Smart Communications has announced a revitalized lineup of its postpaid plan offerings in response to consumer’s increasing need for wider coverage and mobile data. These new plans come with bigger data allowances and monthly customizations of app-based add-ons.

Because of the diversifying lifestyles today, Smart is expanding their lineup to fit a consumer’s lifestyle needs, namely for the Stream-Savvy, the Socially Active, the Chatterbox, the Work Junkie, and the Street Smart. These new Surf Plus Plans start at Plan 559 and go up to Plan 1999. They offer subscribers a bigger data volume allowance plus the flexibility to select a free app of their choice which they can change every month.

Meanwhile, Smart’s All-In Plans provide fully-consumable and fully-customizable postpaid experiences for better management of a subscriber’s mobile consumption. They can choose form a varity of text, talk, and mobile data flexibundles for maximum freedom in planning their usage.

Going back to the talk of diversifying lifestyles, the new Surf Plus Plans offer conveniently divided sections depending on a subscriber’s data appetite.

  • The Stream-Savvy can choose YouTube viewing or SPINNR music screening access.
  • The Socially Active can have access to the top three social media online today: Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
  • The Chatterbox focuses on messaging apps, LINE, Viber, Whatsapp, and Facebook Messenger.
  • The Work Junkie can receive email for free using Gmail or Yahoo! Mail apps.
  • The Street Smart can have free access to Waze for easy navigation.

Access to these free apps will not be counted against their monthly data volume allowance, or until they reach the allocated data volume per app.

All Surf Plus Plans also come with free calls and texts every month plus one-month of free Gadget Shield upon subscription, which protects their new devices from accidental theft or damage.

Subscribers can also choose from the latest lineup of top quality smartphones today, including the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, the Sony Xperia M2 Aqua, the Sony Xperia Z3, the Lenovo S90, the Samsung Galaxy A5 LTE, and the Lumia 532, among many others.

As for future plans, Smart discussed the recently announced legal status of the Uber app. Smart is working to incorporate Uber’s services into their postpaid plans, maybe to add to the Street Smart bundle. Watch out for more announcements.
