Samsung outs its first 2-in-1 Galaxy TabPro S

Years ago, Samsung discontinued support for its laptop business in several regions, including the Philippines. It was a precedent to its increasing commitment towards more mobile options. Yet years ahead of the move, it seems that Samsung isn’t ready to leave the keyboard-and-screen devices behind.  

After gestating its Galaxy Tab series, Samsung is ready to out its very first 2-in-1 tablet with the new Samsung Galaxy TabPro S. Samsung’s first mobile convertible joins the ranks of heavyweights like the ASUS Transformer, Huawei MateBook, and the Apple iPad Pro. At 6.3mm thin and 696g light, the TabPro S is a slim and sexy beast that packs in as much features as it can into its lithe frame.

The Galaxy TabPro S runs on Windows 10 (either Home or Pro) and the latest dual-core 2.2GHz Intel Core M processor. It touts a detachable full-size keyboard cover with track-pad. With a simple snap-on configuration, the Galaxy TabPro S is easy to convert from tablet to laptop mode. For memory, the convertible carries 4GB of RAM and internal storage configurations of either 128GB SSD or 256GB SSD.

In tablet mode, the TabPro S’s 12.0-inch sAMOLED (2,160 x 1,440 resolution) is a comfort to watch on for when work has to succumb to play. Samsung also touts that it the TabPro S is compatible to stream games on from the Xbox One. For content creation, the mobile PC carries a simple 5-megapixel rear and front camera combination for those quick snaps.

For connectivity, the TabPro S is capable of up to LTE Cat.6 connections, but this may differ according to market or operator. A Wi-Fi version is also available for those who don’t need mobile data capabilities. For wired connection, the convertible is built for USB Type-C.

Finally, the TabPro S is powered by a 5,200mAh battery from which Samsung promises up to 10.5 hours of playtime. It is compatible with Samsung’s Fast Charging capabilities which boasts a 0-100 charge time of only 2.5 hours.

The Samsung Galaxy TabPro S retails for only P55,990 and comes in black. It is now available in select Samsung Experience Stores and authorized retailers.
