Nope. We didn’t jump a year ahead and over the Galaxy Note6. It’s just Samsung has decided that to unify their product portfolio, they’re skipping over 6 and heading straight to Note7 territory. The upcoming flagship phablet will be unveiled in New York City on August 2nd.
The change, according to Samsung, is meant to “minimize confusion” when it comes to the names of its new products and it’s meant to “complement” their Galaxy S7 and S7 edge devices. So now we’re all just on the same page when it comes to Samsung’s new devices.
Evan Blass a.k.a. @evleaks has tweeted before the look ad the three possible colors of the Note7 (which you can also see above): Black Onyx, Silver Titanium, and Blue Coral. Some of the rumored specs for this phablet include a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, 64GB of storage, 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel camera setup, as well as IP68 water resistance rating.
We don’t have that much long to wait for the actual product and if you want to stay up and watch Samsung unveil the device. They’ll stream it on their official site.
