Display and build

Upon unboxing the Redmi Note 10, you quickly note the big 6.43″ AMOLED DotDisplay which is a first for the series. This display is made from Corning Gorilla Glass 3. This touchscreen also has one of the highest screen resolutions for smartphones available now at an impressive 20:9 aspect ratio. The device weighs 178.8g, making it really light to hold. On the Note 10’s exterior are an Arc side fingerprint sensor that reacts quickly, a 360-degree light sensor setup, and impressive dual speakers (one on top and one on the bottom of the phone). The speakers produce very clear vocals; the cymbals are crisp but it needs a bit of boost for its bass. As a person who enjoys playing music while working, exercising or just relaxing, these speakers really stand out–impressive at this price point. When coupled with the Note 10’s large screen the whole package gives you an immersive experience full of accurately bright colors and deep sound.

Camera

The Redmi Note 10 offers extensive camera options — a 13MP (megapixel) front camera for selfies, a quad-camera arrangement featuring an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera for landscape and group shots, 2MP macro camera for close-up shots, a 2MP depth sensor for portrait support, and a 48MP wide-angle lens which when coupled with Slow Motion, Night Mode and Time-lapse features makes for the ultimate in clarity and creativity alike. The new Night Mode for instance automatically adjusts and enhances exposure and color to the situation and lighting, creating clearer night images with a balanced contrast.

Technical Specs & Performance

The Note 10 is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 chipset which allows for a seamlessly smooth phone and gaming experience, with speeds of up to 900MHz. This allows those streamers and gamers out there less input and network lag while playing or shooting video, even letting one multitask at the same time. To support the chipset’s impressive capability and performance, the Snapdragon 678 utilizes 11nm process technology for lower power consumption. On top of this, the Note 10 is supported by a powerful 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Not only is this battery two times as powerful and quick-to-charge than the previous generation of Note phones, it can also handle heavy duty usage throughout the day due to its workhorse combination of a quality CPU chipset and energy-packed battery.

Verdict

The Redmi Note 10 is available in 2 variants, the 4GB+64GB priced at P8,490 and 6GB+128GB priced at P9,990. The device really stands out in its class having the Snapdragon 678 chipset, 48MP quad camera, and its 6.43″ AMOLED DotDisplay screen with dual speakers.
