Oppo Reno, first 5G smartphone to launch in the Philippines

Oppo yet again wows with the launch of the Reno series. With the flagship Reno and Reno 10x Zoom, Oppo strides to bring creativity to new heights. The brand has also collaborated with artists from different facets of art under the Reno Collective to spark creative inspiration with brand ambassadors, IV of Spades, Dex Fernandez, Treb Monteras, Magic Liwanag, Daryl Chang, and André Chang.

Aside from it having 5G capability, highlights of the Reno include the 10x hybrid zoom, which can capture the finest details even from a distance, wide angle lens, and ultra night mode, an improved version of their night mode. The Reno houses a 48MP + 5MP PDAF; while the 10x Zoom version is equipped with a full-focal-length triple camera setup with a 48MP + 8MP wide angle lens + 13MP telephoto lens. The Reno 10x Zoom is capable of a whopping 60x digital zoom—Oppo calling it the first in the smartphone industry. Both units come with Dolby Atmos speakers and the 10x Zoom model is decked out with audio 3D and audio zoom features. Keeping their signature rising camera feature, the Reno has a front pivot rising camera—keeping the 6.6 and 6.4 screens of the Reno 10x Zoom and the Reno, respectively, wonderfully notch-free. Both units come with 256 GB ROM and feature VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

The Reno is available for pre-order until today and will be available starting June 21 in 500 select Oppo stores for P26,990 while the Reno 10x Zoom can be pre-ordered on Lazada from June 21-June 30 and will be initially available in 100 select Oppo stores on July 1, it retails at P45,990. Reno 10x Zoom pre-orders also come with a Gimbal Stabilizer freebie worth P5,999. The Reno series will be available through Globe and Smart starting July. It is also available through Home Credit and Metrobank with 0% installment plans.
