OPPO outs affordable selfie-centric option A57, OPPO F3 Black Edition

OPPO is bolstering its selfie options further with its new entry-level selfie offering, the A57. Coming in at just P11,990, the A57 promises to bring “unstoppable selfies” from its users.

It comes equipped with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera that’s similar to the F1s and now comes with its own bokeh effect. It has an f/2.0 aperture lens, Beautify 4.0 software, palm shutter gesture, and OPPO’s Screen Flash feature for better selfies and group shots in low-light conditions.

Continuing on with a trend OPPO started, the A57 comes with a 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 sensor with f/2.2 aperture. It has Phase Detection Auto Focus to bring auto focus time to as little as 0.1 seconds and OPPO’s Ultra HD mode to let you take 52-megapixel images. The latter shoots a few photos in succession and gets the best parts of each photo to create those 52-megapixel photos.

In terms of power, the A57 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB internal storage—which you can expand up to 256GB via microSD. Just like the F3, the A57 features a triple-shot card tray, which means you don’t have to sacrifice the second SIM slot for a microSD card.

The A57 features a 5.2-inch display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 screen and has a sizeable 2,900mAh battery. This smartphone runs on Android 6.0 and skinned by OPPO’s Color OS 3.0. It also comes with its own solid-state fingerprint scanner that makes use of a hydrophobic zirconium surface, which will let you use the scanner even if your finger is a bit moist.

The A57 will be available in Gold and Black starting June 16th.

Aside from launching the A57, OPPO also just launched the Black Edition of its F3 smartphone. And just in time for the start of the school year, the Chinese company is selling the F3 at a discounted price of P15,990. The promo will be until July 31st. After that, the F3 will be available at its suggested retail price of P16,990.
