OPPO, the smartphone company that has taken the country by storm with its selfie-focused features, releases yet another iteration of its selfie-centric device: the A39.

OPPO Philippines Brand Marketing Manager Stephen Cheng notes that the A39 stays true to the philosophy of “outstanding photography, performance, powerful hardware, and elegant design.”

Primarily targeted at the selfie-loving community, the mid-range OPPO A39 offers a 5-megapixel front camera equipped with 1.4µm pixels and 1/4-inch sensor to take crisper photo sans noise. This front camera also comes with Beautify 4.0, OPPO’s latest take on skin and facial enhancement software.

The A39 also hopes to not disappoint in the rear camera department with its 13-megapixel offering backed up by an extra-large 1/3.06-inch sensor. The result: up to 50-megapixel ultra-HD images and brilliant low-light and night photos.

Matching the bright and brilliant cameras is the 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass HD display with a resolution of 720p. It features automatic brightness adjustment and high contrast to bring a comfortable viewing experience.

Inside the A39 runs a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.5GHz and 3GB of RAM. Paired with 32GB of storage, expandable up to 256GB, these specs allow the phone to run and transition between tasks seamlessly without hitting hard its 2,900mAh lithium polymer battery. All these parts work together in a fast and user-friendly experience through OPPO’s own ColorOS operating system. ColorOS is designed to provide more memory to utilize and helps optimize the battery.

While the innards show heft in performance, the magnesium-aluminum unibody merely weighs 147 grams while retaining durability.

The OPPO A39 is now available in concept and dealer stores nationwide for P10,990.
