Jason Kidd, NBA Legend and Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Member

On experiencing Filipino basketball culture

“The energy’s been great.  My first time here [and] it’s been incredible.  Talking about the Philippine passion for basketball, for me seeing it up close, it’s been an incredible experience.  I can’t wait to come back.”

Tony Parker, NBA Legend and Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Member

On inspiring young players during the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Clinic presented by Gatorade

“I love being able to interact with the Filipino kids through basketball.  Every time I get to share my experience and spend time with the kids, it’s priceless.  I used to love it when I was their age, getting to spend time with professional basketball players then.  I’m happy to be here.  You can see the passion.  The energy is amazing.  The Philippines, they love the NBA.”

Lauren Jackson, WNBA Legend and Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Member

On interacting with aspiring Filpina basketball players and her message to them

“Those kids are so great.  They’re so happy and they love the game so it’s a lot of fun to be out there with them.  I think any child that has a dream of playing in the NBA or the WNBA can do it.  It requires a lot of hard work but if they have a dream and they’re willing to work for it, they can do it.”

Khalil Ramos, Filipino actor and singer

On the significance of NBA House Philippines and participating in the Prime Video Celebrity Showcase

“Oh my goodness.  I’ve seen the NBA Houses across the world, and it’s so nice to finally have it in the Philippines.  We are a basketball country.  I’ve been a basketball fan almost my entire life.  To see and to be able to be coached by an NBA legend was not on my 2026 bingo card.  It still feels surreal.”

Ricci Rivero, Filipino professional basketball player

On competing in the “Don’t Sleep” Nike All-Star Game

“It was fun because I got the experience [of being] coached by a legend on the sidelines.  I grew up watching Jason Kidd, very good player, very good coach.  He gave us a feel on how to be further creative with the basketball.  Seeing him, being with him, he was very loud with us so it was really inspiring.”
