At this year’s Mobile World Congress, Blackberry CEO John Chen announced the company’s push towards bringing its Blackberry services to a wider audience. The Canadian company announced that they will bring Blackberry software and services to other mobile platforms. This means that consumers will be able to use Blackberry’s own productivity, communication, collaboration, and security software and services on their Android, iOS, and Windows mobile devices. Dubbed the Blackberry Experience Suite, Blackberry aims to increase consumer productivity by tailoring its own unique security and collaboration features to any mobile device.
Blackberry also announced its continued partnership with Samsung, which will bring its enterprise services to the Korean company’s KNOX mobile security platform. These services are Blackberry’s WorkLife by Blackberry and SecuSUITE. WorkLife allows mobile users to separate their work data and personal data while using one mobile device. SecuSUITE allows for uncompromised security in their voice and SMS communication.
On Samsung’s side, it will offer a selection of Blackberry enterprise products and services through its new Samsung Business Services.
