IT distributor MSI-ECS believes the future of local businesses is digital transformation. It is as MSI-ECS President and CEO Jimmy Go said is the “key in the survival of our business.” So, the distributor hosted its first ever CXO Innovation Summit, an exclusive conference for invited CIOs, CISOs, CEOs, and IT managers with the focus on the next wave of digital transformation.
Through a series of plenary and breakout panels, the CXO Innovation Summit puts the focus on the essential topics and concerns of ever-evolving industries. There were talks on everything from smart cities, to hyperconvergence, data centers, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain for business, and many more.
While the invited delegates were end-users, MSI-ECS emphasized the event is meant to benefit the resellers and vendors the company works with. Princess Chua, executive vice president and general manager of MSI-ECS, said, “Our mission as a company is to transform the businesses of our resellers so that in return they can transform the business of these organizations.”
Go talked about the importance of the summit in helping companies keep up with the times. “There’s so much change in the ICT industry and if they don’t adapt to the changes, a company can really be left behind.”
But the company acknowledges this is all but the first step. Chua added, “It’s not an overnight thing. That’s what they say, right? If it’s not painful, then you’re really not transforming. We understand that and we know that the companies we have here are not really at the same level of the need to transform so we think we might have to do this on a regular basis until all of them are ready to take the necessary steps in order for them to transform.”
MSI-ECS sees the success of this first CXO Innovation Summit as incentive to make this a yearly event. Go talked about how representing the whole suite of important solutions for the ICT industry puts them at an advantage to make this happen.
