Mitsubishi adds new base GLX CVT variant to XForce line, upgrades GT and GLS

Despite the enduring popularity of the evergreen L300 and Mirage, it was the Mitsubishi Xpander that proved to be the surprise bestseller from the country’s perennial No. 2 car brand. And it did that despite the compact crossover MPV segment being one of the most competitive in the industry.

Mitsubishi wants that kind of success to be replicated in its XForce crossover. It previously had two contenders: the XForce GLS and the flagship XForce GT. But with pricing for the two ranging in the Php1.3M and Php1.6M range, respectively, it still left a sizable hole for the sub-Php1.2M price point.

Enter the XForce GLX CVT.

From two variants, the XForce lineup now consists of three, each targeting a distinct customer profile. The top-of-the-line GT is for those who want all the available comfort, convenience, and safety features that the XForce can offer. The midrange GLS offers a well-rounded blend of style, connectivity, and everyday versatility.

The new GLX variant, on the other hand, broadens the appeal of the XForce by making its core strengths accessible to more customers without compromising the design, comfort and driving confidence that define the model—all at an impressively low price point of Php1,119,000 (with an intro price of an irresistible Php1,049,000).

Using the exact same engine, transmission, suspension, and brakes from its higher-end GLS and GT siblings, the GLX CVT delivers the same bold SUV character, comfortable ride quality, spacious cabin, and everyday versatility that customers have come to appreciate from the nameplate.

Equipped with key features such as 17-inch alloy wheels, reverse camera, 6-speaker audio system and a spacious, versatile interior, the GLX retains the core strengths that define the XForce experience.

With its value-packed pricing, the XForce GLX opens the door for more Filipinos to enjoy a compact crossover that combines striking design, fun-to-drive dynamics, and everyday functionality.

Beyond expanding the lineup, Mitsubishi Motors has also enhanced the XForce GLS CVT with additional features that further elevate comfort, convenience, and safety.

The XForce GLS gets new leather seats with Heat Guard, cruise control, 8-inch multi-info display, 12.3-inch infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control with nanoe X and Dry Mode, and this new Jet Black Mica color.

The updated GLS CVT is now equipped with leather seats with Heat Guard, helping maintain cabin comfort even under the heat of the sun. Drivers also benefit from the added convenience of Cruise Control during longer journeys, while the inclusion of a Multi-Around Monitor provides greater visibility and confidence when maneuvering in tight spaces in the city.

The XForce GT gets a panoramic sunroof, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, and Multi Around-View Monitor

“The XFORCE has been well received by Filipino customers for its eye-catching design and elevated comfort. With the introduction of the new GLX variant and updating the other variants, we are enhancing the lineup to give more customers the opportunity to experience the XFORCE and find the variant that best fits their lifestyle and needs,” said MMPC President & CEO Ritsu Imaeda.
