Meet the new Redfox

Redfox is not a new player in the local tech scene. You’ve seen its products, you might even have used them at one point. But the company seemed to have vanished in the past few years and has been overtaken by a lot of big names in the tech industry. But now it’s back with a new logo, image, and a whole barrage of new products we’ll be able to talk about more in the coming months when they officially launch them.

They started out as a PC manufacturing company and are now working to provide end-to-end solutions. We’ve seen everything from 2-in-1 tablets, smartphones, mini projectors, a virtual reality headset, sleek laptops, gaming machines, to other peripherals at the Red Transformation event the company hosted last night at Marco Polo Ortigas. It’s going to be an interesting next couple of months to see how the Filipino company transforms itself from being an original equipment and design manufacturer to an original brand manufacturer.

The brand is involved in so many aspects of the industry and has been forming new sub-companies to help produce the products it sells and the services it renders. As mentioned in Redfox’s press release, the sub-companies include: Redfox Laboratory International Ltd., a company that puts effort on the Research and Development (R&D) of Redfox products, with offices in Shenzhen China, Hong Kong (hardware), and Philippines (software); A.L.e-Component Int’l. Inc., a company based in Cavite, which focuses on Redfox’s Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS); Asiantech, a company also based in the Philippines that focuses on the distribution, logistic, and warehousing of Redfox; and Wiz Store, Redfox’s concept store, catering to retailers and kiosks, with two branches located at SM North and SM Marikina.

Redfox is targeting upper and middle class markets as well as the millennials both here and abroad. The company has always released products in the more affordable market range and it seems like it wants to keep it that way. The brand’s new identity is summed up in its tagline: “Luxury within reach.”

Aside from the new products, Redfox is overhauling its headquarters located along Doña Hemady in Quezon City to have it serve host to its first UXperience Center, where they plan to showcase the brands key products and solutions. One part of it will be an interactive gaming arena. Redfox partnered with E-Blue to create the space that’ll entice hardcore gamers. Redfox wants the space to play host to international competitions and bring better awareness to e-sports in the country. Another part of the UXperience Center will feature the brand’s educational technology solutions.
