Living The Suites life: A cozy, laid-back stay for locals and travelers

Last month I was invited to a trial stay in the newly launched property of The Ascott Limited: The Suites at Torre Lorenzo Malate. The decision was a no-brainer — who can say no to a lovely staycation. My excitement went through the roof after finding out it was a pet-friendly stay.

Upon entering the doors of The Suites Malate, the host extended a cheerful welcome that instantly made me feel warm and at home. This is compounded by the laidback and cozy atmosphere of the lobby brought about by the earthy palette they chose for the interior.

Once everyone’s done checking in and settling down, next on our itinerary was to explore the facilities and amenities. There was a pool, gym, and common space to work and hangout. Personally, the rooftop will be one of my go-to places to relax and have a breather. I instantly grew fond of the place after seeing the complete package.

We were pampered with a massage and tea followed by dinner at The Aristocrat Restaurant to cap off the day. Unexpectedly, it felt like I took a trip down memory lane as I frequented that restaurant as a child.

After a long yet fun day, what sounded like a great idea was to head back to my room, unwind and watch my favorite chick flick. The spacious living area has a flatscreen TV wherein I can easily access Netflix. Thankfully, the Wi-Fi was highly reliable if you want to watch or get some work done. For longer stays, I’d definitely bring grocery items since it has a fully equipped kitchen. I can take advantage of the washing machine too.

Before hitting the cozy sack, I showered and made use of the complete bathroom essentials: toilet paper, towel, shampoo, and soap. This was followed by my skincare routine, which I did in front of the neat mirror in the bedroom.

Of course, when you’re searching for a place to stay, the top consideration is location. Are malls, convenience stores and restaurants accessible and within your reach for last-minute shopping and late-night cravings? Is it within the vicinity of schools or offices? Those are some of the most important factors you need to include on your checklist. And we’re happy to report that The Suites Malate Manila ticks both and more.

For shopping you have Robinsons Manila nearby. Schools can be found at every corner — DLSU, UP Manila, STI Taft, among many others. If you want to spice up your day by touring the beautiful city of Manila, you can do so easily with the rich history surrounding the area. Expand your knowledge and pay a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art or National Museum — both a few minutes’ drive away.

It was a lovely experience — immersing myself in such a unique and fun space. At the same time, it exudes a youthful vibe that fosters creativity and collaboration. It’s a great way to stay inspired and clear-headed given the hustle and bustle of the city.

When you find yourself in the vibrant area of Malate, you’ll know what to do. The Suites can cater to your solo trips or huge group bookings with their various offerings. To book a stay, guests may visit the official website
