Life hacks: Stay fit during the rainy season

0

It’s easier to get fit during the warm summer days. People are extra conscious for their summer bods and this can almost always be contagious. But once the beach trips have come and gone, and the wet season comes, how can you keep yourself from slumping back to square one? Don’t let the rain stop you (or be your excuse) for not getting fit. Here are ways to keep that summer bod you’ve worked hard for even when rain comes pouring down.

Or maybe walk a few blocks instead of taking the cab to your next meeting. Always make an effort to slip in a few exercises or physical activity to keep you burning even in the cold season.

Go green. You may have limited access to the great outdoors for your exercise regimen, but never forego your healthy eats. Fruits and vegetables are high on minerals and fiber that helps eliminate toxins in your body. Plus, you need the extra protection against diseases that come with the rain.

Do the chores. Aside from doing chores being a physical activity, cleaning up your house will get rid of bacteria and illnesses that lurk in your house during the rainy season. Make it a point to regularly clean your house to prevent pests and mosquitos that can cause dengue, a common illness during the rainy season.

Go online. The Internet is a treasure trove of useful life and exercise hacks. When the rain is so hard you can hardly go out, log on to YouTube and choose from a variety of exercises such as circuit training, weights, and even yoga. You can also opt for inexpensive deals for different kinds of indoor exercises, such as mountain climbing, parkour or CrossFit. This way you can try out different kinds of physical activities and choose which one suits you best.

Make it a habit. Being healthy and fit don’t happen overnight. It is a series of making things work every day of your life. The will to change to make things better starts with doing and staying the course. So do what you can to make it work and keep at it. Good luck!
