LG Electronics Philippines brought music, movement, and rising local talent together through LG xboom Idol in Bohol, a competition created to discover aspiring singers and dancers across the country in search of pop talent in the Philippines.
More than a contest, the event gave passionate performers the chance to step into the spotlight and showcase their talent, confidence, and stage presence while experiencing the powerful sound and premium audio quality of LG xboom. From first notes to final cheers, the stage became a place where young performers could be seen, heard, and celebrated.
Out of 50 registrants, 15 semi-finalists were selected by LG Electronics Philippines to compete in the Bohol event. After a strong showing from the finalists, the Top 3 winners were named – Jaica Cardino from Tagbilaran, Kenneth Angelo Enriquez from Danao, and Glessil Ann Tan (7) from Guindulman. Among them, Contestant No. 7 Glessil Ann Tan was hailed as the LG xboom Idol 2026 Visayas Grand Finalist, earning a place in the next stage of the competition.
The competition also brought added excitement through prizes that matched the energy of the stage. During the elimination round, winners received an LG xboom Stage 501 with Php 5,000 cash and an LG xboom Mini with Php 2,000 cash.
At the grand finals, finalists will compete for major prizes. The 5th place winner will receive Php 10,000 and a 50″ LG Nano UHD 4K Smart TV. The 3rd and 4th place winners will each receive Php 20,000 and a 50″ LG Nano UHD 4K Smart TV. The 2nd place winner will receive Php 50,000 and a 55″ LG Nano UHD 4K Smart TV. The 1st place winner will take home Php 100,000 and a trip for two to Seoul, South Korea.
A key part of the event experience was the LG xboom Stage 501, designed to bring more energy and confidence to every performance. With sound built for sing-alongs, karaoke sessions, and lively gatherings, the speaker helps voices come through clearly while filling the space with fuller, more powerful audio. Its performance-ready design makes it a fitting companion for aspiring singers, dancers, and entertainers who want a setup that can keep up with rehearsals, celebrations, and small stage moments.
The event also added more excitement for attendees as 10 LG xboom Mini units were raffled off during the program.

The next leg of the competition is set for September 25 at Festive Walk Mall, Iloilo, where more aspiring performers will get the chance to audition, compete, and move one step closer to the grand finals.
