In its push to deliver quality technology to more consumers, Lenovo is expanding its K series with the dual-camera Lenovo K8 Note and K8 Plus. According to the smartphone maker, the new additions will deliver power and precision in its camera, processing speed, and multimedia experience.

Lenovo K8 Note

Being the greater of the two additions, the Lenovo K8 Note is packed with more new features than its predecessors and its K8 Plus counterpart.

Its biggest claim to fame is its dual camera set-up featuring a 13-megapixel primary and 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor. The camera combination highlights the phone’s capabilities with enhanced depth of field and bokeh effects. Alternatively, the K8 Note also has a 13-megapixel front-facing shooter with full-light LED flash.

Under the hood, the K8 Note is armed with a deca-core MTK X23 processor. The ten-core powerhouse is composed of four cores clocking at 1.4GHz, four more at 1.85GHz, and two high-performance cores at 2.3GHz. It also has the ARM Mali T-880 MP4 graphics processor.

Its 5.5-inch frame is packed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (which is expandable to 128GB via microSD). It has dual nano-SIM capabilities and LTE connectivity.

The K8 Note boasts a battery life of 4,000mAh and a 15W rapid charger. The new smartphone comes in fine gold.

Lenovo K8 Plus

While the K8 Plus is a smaller counterpart to the K8 Note, it’s still a capable smartphone packed with the same capabilities as the latter.

Its smaller 5.2-inch body carries a MediaTek P25 octa-core processor and an ARM Mali-T880 MP2 GPU chip. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD).

Like the K8 Note, the K8 Plus comes with a 13MP + 5MP camera combination and 4,000mAh of battery life.

No more bloatware

An often cited weakness of Lenovo phones is its penchant for bloatware. For the first time, Lenovo is cutting off most of its bloatware, keeping their phones to a relatively vanilla Android experience.

Price and availability

Starting November 9, both the Lenovo K8 Note and K8 Plus will be available exclusively on Lazada. The K8 Note retails for P13,999 while the K8 Plus sells for P11,999.

However, from November 9 to December 12, both phones will enjoy vast price cuts courtesy of Lazada’s Online Revolution. The K8 Note will only cost P8,999 while the K8 Plus will run for P7,999.
