Lenovo brings out all-new VIBE K5 series, updated TheaterMax tech with controller

0

Since last year, Lenovo has been pushing portable theater technology to its users in fun, bite-sized packages, which they’ve now specifically dubbed TheaterMax technology. We first got a glimpse of this technology in the Lenovo A7000 and A7000 Plus, which was the first ever set of phones equipped with Dolby Atmos surround sound.

Last April, Lenovo launched their first virtual-reality system, the ANTVR headset. The wearable came bundled with the Lenovo VIBE X3 and K4 Note, which were released simultaneously with the ANTVR. This release was the official start of Lenovo’s TheaterMax technology.

Now, a mere three months after the first release, Lenovo is outing its follow-up to its proclaimed best-selling phone of the year. The sequel also features an update to its only recently launched TheaterMax technology.

An all-new way to control your reality

First off, Lenovo has updated its TheaterMax technology with the arrival of the TheaterMax Controller. The controller seamlessly integrates with the smartphone and the ANT VR Goggle for an immersive way to enjoy content, and is very easy to use. The compact controller provides the flexibility for users to use it single-handedly or with both hands. Users can switch between audio/video mode and mouse mode whenever necessary.

Both the VIBE K5 and VIBE K5 PLUS are equipped with Dolby Atmos, which gives a more in-depth experience through its surround sound technology. An additional feature of the VIBE K5 Plus is the Dolby Atmos enabled dual rear speakers for loud and clear audio. Meanwhile, the VIBE K5 Note features a state-of-the-art audio codec, 3-mic audio input system and audio enhancement.
