Instagram was testing it last year but now you can add silly GIF stickers to your Instagram Story posts. The social network is rolling the feature out to both Android and iOS users.
The GIFs are powered by GIPHY and just like how they do on other platforms, you can swipe through the trending GIF stickers or search out specific ones to use for your photos or videos.
On top of this, Instagram announced a feature I’ve personally been waiting for: the ability to upload Instagram Story photos and videos “of any size,” meaning Instagram Story won’t cut out the image or clip to fit its portrait orientation. For landscape shots or videos, it’ll fill in the background with a color gradient that matches the image or video.
The GIF stickers are already available but the other feature is coming at a later date.
