Instagram brings new filters to Android and iOS apps

Instagram introduced a major update to its Android and iOS apps by bringing in five new filters after two years. Aside from that, the app has also gotten a new feature to help you better use and manage filters.

Filters

The new filters are named Slumber, Crema, Ludwig, Aden, and Perpetua. The filters are said to be inspired by the Instagram community and are meant to ” soften and subtly shift colors to achieve the look and feel you want for your each photo.”

You can also choose filters faster now as each filter icon shows a blurred preview of your photo so you can catch a glance of what the filter will look like. Aside from that, you can rearrange the order of filters as well with the new Manage button at the end of the filter tray. You can bring to the front those you use frequently and hide those you don’t use at all.

Manage filters

The update is available for Android and iOS. It hasn’t reached our devices yet but we’re excited to try the new filters out. Let us know what you think if you’ve already gotten the update. Do you see yourselves using the new filters?
