Microsoft has been making waves this year, thanks to the shiny new Windows 10 OS update that was made available to everyone running Windows 7 or 8. At IFA 2015, the tech giant announced a few software updates to the operating system, among other things. Here’s a quick list of what to expect from Microsoft:

  1. The “One Windows” experience

One of the aims of Windows 10 is to bridge the gap between desktop and mobile computing. Continuum is a new feature coming to the OS that allows a Windows 10 smartphone (like the abovementioned Lumia 830) to generate the full desktop experience by placing it into a dock that’s connected to a display and a keyboard and mouse combo.

  1. New Windows 10 devices

IFA 2015 saw a host of Windows 10 tablets, laptops, and multi-devices. Acer and Lenovo will be coming out with budget laptops similar to Google’s Chromebooks, while HP and Dell have high-end and midrange laptops in the works. ASUS has an ROG gaming notebook with Windows 10, and will be released in time for the holidays.
