Catch a glimpse of Hyundai’s IONIQ electric vehicle

Hyundai shows off renderings of its IONIQ electric vehicle, ahead of its January reveal. It shows us bits of what the EV will look like. And its looks alone confirm it’s from the South Korean’s stables.

From the roofline, to the hood, to the body lines, it’s exterior doesn’t stray too far away from Hyundai’s other sedans. According to Hyundai, aerodynamics played a big role in the IONIQ’s exterior. Wind resistance needed to be reduced on it while efficiency had to be improved.

The inside look of the EV simply shows the dashboard of the car. It has a sleek, minimalist look going for it. The IONIQ’s steering wheel is a bit faded to show the instrument panel behind it. Its air vents flank either side of the dashboard as well as the infotaiment touchscreen system in the middle.

But what makes this EV unique from EVs from otherbrands? It’s a production-ready concept equipped with three electric drivetrain options: battery-electric, plug-in-gasoline electric hybrid, and gasoline-electric hybrid.
