Last Saturday night, HOOQ and Globe Live transformed the Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater into a huge outdoor cinema. In cooperation with Samsung, HOOQ Hangouts became the biggest outdoor cinema event in the Philippines. The event showcased the first three episodes of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, which is a streaming service exclusive for HOOQ.
Entrance to the event is free, we just needed to show the HOOQ app on our phone (available on Android and iOS, and we were able to enjoy the event complete with massive LED screens, beanbags, blankets, cushions, and free popcorn.
There was also an interactive LED screen where you can have your picture taken as one of the Legends of Tomorrow. It was the perfect Saturday night Hangout if you’re around the area. People were also able to enjoy fresh-squeezed juice and awesome food from nawwTy’s Kitchen.
The experience is unlike any other. The venue’s ambiance hits the spot with the cool breeze and open environment that’s perfect for bringing a community together. You can sit/lounge/stand anywhere you want or anywhere you’re comfortable. Definitely an experience you don’t want to miss.
The event started out with a raffle of freebies from HOOQ and Globe Live. HOOQ Hangouts was graced by the presence of HOOQ Ambassadors Xian Lim and Jessy Mendiola.

This is the first of its kind for any video-on-demand service in the Philippines.
