Organised by local model car media platform HKTOYCAR and co-organised by Market Hubs, the Hong Kong’s largest model car exhibition — “Hong Kong ToyCar Salon 2026” — will be held from 21 to 23 August 2026 (Friday to Sunday) at the Grand Ballroom, 16/F, Hopewell Hotel, Wan Chai.

Since 2021, the Hong Kong ToyCar Salon has grown from a local collectors’ exhibition into a must-attend event for model car brands, industry players, retailers and collectors across Asia, drawing large numbers of overseas and Chinese Mainland enthusiasts to Hong Kong each year, and progressively becoming the go-to exhibition for Mainland brands looking to “going global”. This year’s event expands once again in scale: alongside the ever-popular 1:64 scale car models, dioramas and railway models, a new aircraft model zone has been added, and a selection of JDM real cars will continue to be on display — extending the exhibition’s themes from the ground to the skies for a more comprehensive experience. The organiser expects attendance to exceed 40,000 visitors, driving footfall and spending in Wan Chai and its surrounding areas, while fully leveraging Hong Kong’s advantages as an international gateway city to bring local model and automotive culture onto the world stage.

This edition once again sets a new record for the number of participating brands and exhibitors, with heavyweight brands from around the world returning in full force. From Hong Kong and Macau, POP RACE, Tarmac Works, Tiny, INNO64, Trends Hobby, Hung Hing Toys, Model 1, BM Creations, Tomica, Peako and Good Speed continue to hold their presence, fully demonstrating the international competitiveness of local brands. From Chinese Mainland, Motorhelix, LCD Model and Fun Tech Lab will bring their latest product lines. From Europe and the Americas, US-based DPLS and Greenlight make their appearance — spanning brands across three continents in Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Beyond the core model car showcase, this edition features a range of dedicated themed zones to further broaden its offerings. Railway model brand Khaho will present railway models from various brands worldwide, while local bus model brand 80M makes its appearance, recreating the familiar sight of buses on Hong Kong streets and evoking fond collective memories for local visitors. Together with the newly added aircraft model zone, this year’s themes extend from the roads to the railways and the skies, delivering a richer viewing experience for collectors and family audiences of all interests.

Lierence Li, Curator of the Hong Kong ToyCar Salon and Managing Director of Market Hubs, said: “As more and more Mainland model brands look to expand into Southeast Asia and international markets, the Hong Kong ToyCar Salon has become their preferred launchpad overseas. Over the three-day exhibition, they can connect with buyers and collectors from different countries and regions around the world, allowing them to fine-tune their strategies and go global. International brands, meanwhile, can use Hong Kong as a gateway to understand the preferences of Mainland enthusiasts and identify suitable distributors, capturing a Mainland market valued in the billions — perfectly embodying Hong Kong’s vital role as a super-connector and super value-adder.” He added that Hong Kong brands hold a leading position in the model car market, and he looks forward to seeing each brand showcase its strengths so that Hong Kong brands can continue to shine on the international stage.

The three-day exhibition will feature a series of exciting stage activities, including brand launches, sharing sessions with automotive and model industry personalities, and travel insights from railway enthusiasts, comprehensively enhancing the exhibition’s diverse experience so that visitors of all ages can enjoy the fun.

The Hong Kong ToyCar Salon has always been an unmissable boutique exhibition in Asia. With its brand lineup continuing to expand and its content comprehensively upgraded, attendance is expected to reach new heights this year.
