The ceremonial signing gathered key leaders from the partner organizations, including Mr. Jiho Son, President of Hyundai Motor Philippines; Ms. Amaya Cristina Fansler, President and CEO of RAFI; and Mr. Dong Chul Park, Country Director of Good Neighbors International Philippines.

Through this initiative, HMPH reinforces its commitment to creating impactful programs that go beyond being an automotive brand by fostering biodiversity, collaboration, and meaningful community engagement.

The Laguluan Tree Park initiative will produce, plant, and nurture 3,000 native timber seedlings, contributing to long-term forest restoration and enhancing ecological resilience in the area. The initiative also includes the development of a tree park with facilities for ecotourism and environmental education, creating opportunities for recreation, learning, and greater appreciation of local biodiversity while supporting long-term conservation efforts. The project is expected to benefit over 4,000 residents of Barangay Prenza, Lian, Batangas.

Beyond environmental restoration, the project will empower 35 partner farmers and strengthen the capacity of the Altura Spring Farmers Irrigators Association, Inc., creating livelihood opportunities while promoting sustainable land management practices.

The project is fully supported by key government stakeholders, including the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Batangas through the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGENRO), the Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) of Lian, through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO).
