Greenstrum, ACMobility’s electric vehicle charging solutions subsidiary, and Huawei Technologies Philippines, Inc. recently held their first business-to-business (B2B) showcase, introducing prospective enterprise partners to world-class end-to-end solutions for electric vehicle charging infrastructure, including advanced battery technology.

Held at the Huawei showroom in Bonifacio Global City, the session “The New Energy Advantage” hosted participants from five different enterprises, including real property developers and academic institutions. The session gave prospective partners a first look at how battery storage and EV charging can work together to help businesses manage energy costs, build resilience, and prepare their sites for the shift to electric mobility.

The session featured Huawei’s Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), which enables businesses to use their electrical capacity more efficiently, storing electricity when demand is low and releasing this energy when demand is high.

This technology, integrated into Greenstrum’s professionally installed EV chargers, can help operators manage peak demand, make better use of existing electrical infrastructure, and improve the resilience and efficiency of charging operations.

Carl Decleodt, Chief Operating Officer at Greenstrum, leads discussions at the pioneering B2B session “The New Energy Advantage,” organized with partner Huawei Technologies Philippines, Inc. The event gathered over 20 participants from five enterprises in property development and the academe.

“Greenstrum and Huawei bring together expertise in implementation and the capability to do the design engineering in order to optimize the output of a battery storage system for the client. We don’t come in just to provide hardware. What we do is we come in and provide a solution,” said Carl Decleodt, Greenstrum Chief Operating Officer.

“One of those solutions is BESS. Through this technology, we can help you implement savings immediately with a small two-square-meter footprint. It also opens up your business to having your own EV charging station,” he said.

The session offered practical and valuable insights for attendees who are already planning to electrify their sites.

Daniel Garcia, Electrical Engineer at DMCI Homes, said that they’re now incorporating EV charging into DMCI condominiums: “The information given to us regarding BESS and EV chargers is a big help. Having greater power demand versus contracted demand has a big impact on the chargers we’re incorporating, and I think that BESS can help us greatly.”

Liezl Mico, Purchasing Officer at Daiichi Properties Inc., said that technologies like BESS are becoming more relevant now as charging requirements are evolving. “Looking at it right now, BESS is an investment. You accumulate bigger savings the more you use the equipment, and at the end of the day, it’s a win-win situation.”

The partnership between Greenstrum and Huawei aims to serve a wide range of businesses such as property developers, hospitality groups, and utility and logistics companies with cold storage or fleet charging needs.

The partners see the session as the start of an ongoing business conversation. More showcases are in the works to give other enterprises the chance to see the technology up close, meet the experts, and explore how Greenstrum and Huawei partners can help their business shift to electric mobility.
