They say first impressions last. That’s why you gotta put your best foot forward. realme did just that! The realme Book—the brand’s first ever laptop—did not disappoint. Upon unboxing, it made a great lasting impression with its premium and sleek design in Real Grey colorway. Complementing the luxurious exterior is its 11th gen Intel Core processor, 2K Full Vision Display and 65W Super-Fast Charge.
Display and Audio
A sizable 14” IPS Full screen with 3:2 aspect ratio is what you can look forward to with the new realme Book; this is also beneficial if you’re one to multi-task and have several tabs open at once. On top of that, it has notably slim bezels for more screen space; thus, providing a more immersive and pleasurable viewing experience.
This laptop highlights its 2K Full-Vision Display (2160×1440). It also features 100% sRGB color gamut screens for more saturated visuals and 400 nits of brightness for clearer screens, even outdoors. As I booted up my laptop, I was able to take delight in my first glimpse of its display—indeed, the user interface had vivid and lively colors.
An immersive experience comes hand-in-hand with a great audio system. realme presents 2 Harman speakers, which supports DTS HD stereo sound effect. This is among the many awaited features that I would like to witness firsthand while streaming my favorite movies or series on Netflix.
Design and build
As mentioned earlier, realme did an amazing job in making its first ever laptop so eye-catching with its premium design. This is evident with its aluminum alloy body and mirror logo design.
Compared to other laptops in the market, it’s relatively thin and lightweight with a 14.9mm thickness and 1.38kg weight, respectively. The sleek design compounded its lightweight facade.
Under the hood
The performance of the realme Book was able to keep up with its other excellent features, adopting the 11th gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor. Additionally, it supports up to 8GB dual-channel LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB SSD storage.
Battery
With its 54Wh battery, it’s expected to provide maximum productivity with 11 hours of battery life. This is paired with a 65W Super-Fast Charge claimed to charge up to 50% in just 30 minutes. We’ll find out more about this in our full review so make sure to stay tuned.
