Fujifilm launches new XE-3 camera, James Reid back as endorser

For more than 80 years, Fujifilm has been engineering cameras in the forefront of camera technology. In its latest decade, Fujilfilm has pushed the limits of their mirrorless cameras year after year. Now, with the launch of the new Fujifilm X-E3 camera, the camera company’s family is about to get better.

Armed with the X-Processor Pro and the X-Trans CMOS III, the X-E3 promises great color reproduction in both still and video capabilities. Under its software, the X-E3 can enhance moods and scenes with a unique Film Simulation feature with 15 different film types. Alternatively, the X-E3 is also equipped with an Advanced SR Auto Mode with 58 presets that optimize auto focus and exposure settings.

The new X-E3 also improves shooting with an electronic viewfinder. With a 0.62x*1 / 100% field of view and 2.36M-dot organic EL electronic viewfinder, image reproduction on the X-E3 is more accurate than previous iterations. It even boasts of a display time lag of just 0.005 seconds, the ability to mimic exposure settings and presets, capacitive touchscreen, and Bluetooth functionality.

James Reid returns

Once again, celebrity superstar and social media maven James Reid is back in Fujifilm’s frontline as their X-E3 endorser. The Kapamilya star lauds the new camera’s amazing portability, convenience, and performance.

“The biggest thing I’ve noticed is the fact that there’s no D-Pad. This is a step towards to the future of cameras. It’s all touchscreen now. It has less buttons, less confusing. It’s more intuitive, just swipe up and up,” says Reid.

The star is also joined by the country’s biggest photographers, Shaira Luna and Magic Liwanag. Both photographers have applauded the camera’s flexibility to operate as both a casual and a professional camera for their works.

Fair and SQUARE

Along with the X-E3 camera, Fujilfilm has also launched the new instax SHARE SP-3 Printer. The new printer can churn out smartphone-taken photos with a 1:1 square aspect ratio. It allows users to full realize the digital trend of beautiful 1:1 photos on Facebook and Instagram.

Through the instax SHARE app, users can print up to 9 photos at once, straight from their smartphones and social media accounts. The printer can print in 11 different designs.

The printer coincides with the launch of a limited edition white SQ10 instax camera.

Prices and availability

The Fujfilm X-E3 is available in silver and black. It is priced at Php50,900. With a 23mm kit, it retails for Php64,990. With an 18-55mm kit, it sells for Php72,990.

Meanwhile, the limited edition SQ10 retails for P14,999 while the instax SHARE SP-3 Printer retails for Php10,999.
